A central emergency control room has been established at the fire brigade headquarters in Yatayat Park. According to an official BMC press release issued on Monday, Fire Officer Rameshwar Neil has been appointed as the main emergency control room in charge and nodal officer. The main emergency control room is accessible through the following telephone numbers 0755-2542222, 2540220, and 2701401. Additionally, a secondary control room has been set up at Mata Mandir, under the supervision of Transport and Traffic Management Officer Chanchalesh Girhera, who is reachable at 9425149028. All emergency control rooms, including the primary facility, will operate on a 24-hour basis, ensuring continuous readiness. Officers and employees will work in shifts to maintain uninterrupted service. Zone-level control rooms have also been established across all BMC zones, where zonal officers will deploy their teams and coordinate with cleanliness in-charges as required. They will also assign duties to other employees based on situational demands.
