Bharat Future City Gets November Deadline Ahead of Telangana Summit

Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to complete preparations for the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026 by the end of November, ahead of the three-day event scheduled at Bharat Future City in Rangareddy district from December 7 to 9.

During a visit to the emerging urban development corridor, Reddy reviewed construction progress, inaugurated the Future City Police Commissionerate at Ibrahimpatnam and laid the foundation stone for the proposed National Institute of Urban Management (NIUM). He also inspected the campus of Young India Skills University and instructed officials to accelerate construction.

The chief minister directed officials to complete all works linked to the summit’s open-air venue by November 15. He also asked them to increase the workforce if required so that the Young India Skills University campus could be completed at least 15 days before its scheduled deadline.

The summit will be held under the theme “We guarantee your investments”. Reddy said the event should be organised on an international scale to attract entrepreneurs and investors from India and abroad. The preparations include infrastructure at the venue as well as coordinated arrangements across the Future City development area.

The visit placed construction and institutional infrastructure at the centre of the state’s preparations. Reddy reviewed ongoing works at the Young India Skills University campus and emphasised that infrastructure development and summit-related arrangements should progress together. The source report did not provide the project’s total cost, the university’s scheduled completion date or the number of delegates expected at the summit.

The newly established Future City Police Commissionerate is intended to strengthen law and order and provide security for the developing corridor. It covers 4,337 square kilometres across six assembly constituencies and two parliamentary constituencies, according to the report. The commissionerate is also among the major police commissionerates established under the framework of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.

After inaugurating the facility, Reddy visited the Commissioner of Police’s office and welcomed commissioner Tarun Joshi. The new policing structure creates an administrative and security layer for an area where construction, institutional development and investment-related activity are being planned simultaneously.

The chief minister later performed the bhumi puja for the proposed NIUM campus on the premises of the Future City Development Authority office and examined the model of the proposed campus. The institute is planned as part of the institutional infrastructure being assembled within Bharat Future City.

The immediate milestones are the completion of the open-air venue by November 15, the early completion of the Young India Skills University campus and the broader readiness of Bharat Future City before the summit opens on December 7. The source report did not specify whether all associated infrastructure works have received final approvals or disclose the current completion status of the wider Future City project.
