Brigade Enterprises Ltd has signed management agreements with Hyatt Hotels Corporation for two new Bengaluru hotels that will together add 600 rooms to the developer’s hospitality portfolio, according to a regulatory filing.
The properties will operate under the Hyatt Regency brand. One hotel is planned at Brigade Global Park, while the second will be part of Brigade’s upcoming township on Whitefield-Kadugodi Road. Both hotels are expected to be integrated into larger mixed-use developments rather than operate as standalone hospitality assets.
The announcement places hospitality at the centre of two significant real estate projects in Bengaluru, where commercial, residential and other urban uses are increasingly being planned within larger integrated developments. Brigade said the partnership would strengthen its hospitality portfolio in the city, where it has developed residential, commercial and hospitality projects.
“At Brigade, hospitality has always been an integral part of our landmark projects,” Nirupa Shankar, joint managing director of Brigade Enterprises, said in the statement. “The signing of two Hyatt Regency hotels at our upcoming mixed-use developments represents another important step in strengthening our hospitality portfolio in Bengaluru. Both hotels will be part of larger integrated developments that bring together multiple asset classes.”
The first property will be located at Brigade Global Park. The source material does not specify the hotel’s room count, construction schedule, opening date or the other components planned within that development. It also does not provide a separate room allocation for the hotel proposed within the Whitefield-Kadugodi Road township.
Hyatt said Bengaluru’s business travel, meetings and events market was a strategic factor behind the partnership. “Bengaluru continues to demonstrate strong demand across business travel, meetings and events, making it a strategic market for Hyatt’s growth in India,” said Vikas Chawla, president, India and Southwest Asia, Hyatt.
For Brigade, the agreements expand the role of hotels within its development model. The company has described hospitality as an integral part of its landmark projects, while the two new hotels will be embedded in mixed-use developments that combine multiple asset classes. The arrangement therefore links hotel operations with the delivery of broader urban projects, although the filing does not disclose the investment value, construction status or expected employment impact of the properties.
Brigade Group was established in 1986 and has projects across Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mysuru, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and GIFT City, spanning residential, commercial and hospitality segments. The new agreements are specific to Bengaluru and concern Hyatt’s management of the two proposed Hyatt Regency hotels.
The company has not announced opening dates or detailed implementation milestones for either property in the information available. The next stages will depend on the progress of the respective mixed-use developments and the completion of the hotels planned at Brigade Global Park and the Whitefield-Kadugodi Road township.
