Bengaluru’s industrial belt has added another manufacturing investment with German packaging and bottling technology company Krones commissioning a plant near the city at an investment of about ₹315 crore. The facility adds capacity to the region’s industrial ecosystem and highlights Bengaluru’s growing links between advanced manufacturing, engineering talent and technology-led production.
The plant is focused on machinery used in beverage and packaging operations, placing it within a manufacturing supply chain that connects equipment makers with food, beverage and consumer-goods producers. Such facilities can generate demand not only for direct employees but also for component suppliers, logistics providers, maintenance specialists and other industrial services. The investment is significant for Bengaluru because the city’s economic identity has historically been dominated by information technology and services.
