Bengaluru Artisans Get Online Route to Advanced Equipment Support

Skilled workers in Bengaluru can apply online for access to advanced equipment facilities under an initiative announced by the Industries and Commerce Department, with applications due by November 5, 2026.

The facility is open to carpenters, masons, blacksmiths, embroidery workers, tailors, bamboo workers, basket makers, handicraft producers and people engaged in general engineering trades, according to a notice reported by Prajavani.

Applicants must upload the required documents through the Bengaluru Urban district administration website, bengaluruurban.nic.in. The documents and application link are available in the website’s “What’s New” section, where applicants can complete the online process before the deadline.

The announcement is aimed at workers whose livelihoods depend on tools, equipment and small-scale production facilities. These trades support household services, repair work, construction activity and local manufacturing across Bengaluru, but the notice does not specify the type of equipment available, the number of beneficiaries or whether applicants will receive equipment directly or gain access to a shared facility.

The department has asked interested workers to complete the application process within the stated window. Applicants seeking clarification can contact the department on 22375765. Further details, including the required documents and the nature of the advanced equipment facility, are to be accessed through the Bengaluru Urban district website.
