AP Polling Stations Schedule Set for MPTC, ZPTC Elections

The Andhra Pradesh Election Commission has released a schedule for finalising polling stations for the upcoming elections to Mandal Praja Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs) and Zilla Praja Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs), beginning with the display of photo voter lists on September 11.

The schedule sets out a process for preparing, publishing and reviewing the list of polling stations before the final list is issued on September 19. The exercise will cover polling arrangements for both MPTC and ZPTC elections across Andhra Pradesh.

According to the schedule, the photo voter list for the elections will be displayed on September 11. The draft list of polling stations will then be prepared on September 14 and published the following day, September 15.

The commission will accept objections to the draft polling-station list on September 15 and 16. During the same period, election officials will meet representatives of political parties on September 16 to discuss the proposed polling arrangements.

District collectors are scheduled to approve the polling stations on September 18. The final list of polling stations for the ZPTC and MPTC elections will be published on September 19.

The polling-station finalisation process is a key administrative step before local-body elections, determining the locations where eligible voters will cast their ballots. The schedule provides political parties and other stakeholders with a formal window to review the draft arrangements and submit objections before district-level approval.

The Andhra Pradesh Election Commission has not, in the information available, announced the dates for polling or provided details of the number and location of polling stations. The next scheduled milestone is the display of the photo voter list on September 11, followed by publication of the draft polling-station list on September 15.
