Adilabad IT Tower Set for November 9 Inauguration, Local Jobs in Focus

Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu is scheduled to inaugurate the Adilabad IT tower on November 9, bringing a ₹60 crore technology infrastructure project near National Highway-44 into the public spotlight as the region seeks more employment opportunities for educated youth.

DCC president Naresh Jadhav announced the planned inauguration while speaking to the media in Adilabad on Friday. He said the tower was expected to support development in the Adilabad region and provide suitable employment opportunities for local educated young people.

The building has been constructed on the outskirts of Adilabad town at a reported cost of ₹60 crore. Its location near National Highway-44 places the facility along a major road connection serving the town and the wider district. The report did not specify the companies expected to operate from the tower, the number of jobs to be created or when commercial and technology operations would begin.

The project’s immediate significance lies in the creation of dedicated IT-related infrastructure outside Telangana’s principal technology centres. However, the inauguration itself will not establish how the facility will be occupied or how many local residents will benefit. Those details, including tenant participation, recruitment plans and operational responsibilities, were not provided in the announcement.

Jadhav said the tower would help strengthen development in the Adilabad region. The project is therefore being presented not only as a building project but also as an employment-linked intervention for a district where local educated youth may otherwise need to seek opportunities in larger urban centres. The available report does not provide data on existing IT employment in Adilabad or the expected economic contribution of the tower.

Former Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Gandrath Sujatha, former DCC president Sajid Khan and former Adilabad Market Committee chairman Sanjeev Reddy were among those present during the media interaction. The inauguration by Sridhar Babu is scheduled for November 9, when further details about the facility’s use and operating plans may be announced.
