Palghar Rail Block to Impact Multiple Trains Today
A one-hour and fifteen-minute block on the UP and Down Main Line between Vangaon and Dahanu Road stations has been scheduled today, 28th January 2025. The block, to be implemented from 10:30 am to 11:45 am, is required to facilitate the launching of a composite girder for constructing a Road Over Bridge (ROB) in the Mumbai Central Division.
As a result, several Western Railway trains will experience disruptions, including partial cancellations, short terminations, and delays, impacting passengers commuting on this busy route. Train No. 93013 (Virar–Dahanu Road Passenger) will terminate early at Vangaon, leading to the partial cancellation of Train Nos. 93013 and 93014 between Vangaon and Dahanu Road. Similarly, Train No. 93015 (Churchgate–Dahanu Road Passenger) will terminate at Boisar, resulting in the partial cancellation of Train Nos. 93015 and 93016 between Boisar and Dahanu Road.
Delayed Services
Passengers on several trains will face delays due to the block. Key affected trains include:
Train No. 20483 (Bhagat Ki Kothi–Dadar Superfast Express) delayed by 45 minutes.
Train No. 12980 (Jaipur–Bandra Terminus Express) delayed by 45 minutes.
Train No. 12932 (Ahmedabad–Mumbai Central Double Decker Express) delayed by 30 minutes.
Train No. 82902 (Ahmedabad–Mumbai Central Tejas Express) delayed by 30 minutes.
Train No. 93018 (Dahanu Road–Virar Passenger) delayed by 25 minutes.
Western Railway authorities have requested passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and expressed their commitment to completing the construction promptly to enhance connectivity and safety. This block highlights the ongoing infrastructural development in the region, with projects like the ROB being integral to easing congestion and improving rail operations in the long term.
