Cyberabad Traffic Police have asked IT companies and other organisations in the Cyberabad area to consider early logout and work-from-home options from November 3 to 5 as moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast in the region.
The advisory requests organisations to adopt staggered logout timings from 2 pm and preferably complete the process by 4 pm. The measure is intended to reduce peak-hour traffic congestion and limit commuter travel during periods of adverse weather.
Companies have also been urged to permit employees to work from home wherever feasible during the three-day period. The traffic police said the measures would help improve commuter safety while allowing emergency services to move without disruption.
The advisory covers IT companies and other organisations operating within the Cyberabad area, a major employment and commuting zone in Hyderabad. The request comes as rainfall-related travel risks and traffic delays can affect the movement of employees across the city’s busy office corridors.
Organisations have been asked to share their office locations and planned logout timings with the Cyberabad Traffic Police at cybtrcc@gmail.com. The information will help officials plan traffic-management measures around workplaces and coordinate movement during the period covered by the advisory.
The staggered timing request is designed to avoid a simultaneous release of office workers, which can add to congestion on already busy roads during rain. Allowing employees to leave earlier or work remotely is also expected to reduce the number of commuters travelling when rainfall conditions are difficult.
The advisory does not announce a blanket closure of offices or make work from home compulsory. Instead, it asks organisations to consider early logout, staggered timings and remote work wherever operationally feasible. Individual companies will determine how to implement the measures based on their locations and workplace requirements.
For traffic authorities, advance information from companies on office locations and exit schedules will provide a basis for planning traffic movement around Cyberabad’s employment clusters. It will also help officials identify the likely timing and concentration of vehicles during the rainfall period.
The advisory remains in effect from November 3 through November 5. Organisations have been requested to send their planned logout details to the Cyberabad Traffic Police so that traffic-management arrangements can be made during the forecast rainy weather.
