TW.O Clean Energy Funding Unlocks $10 Million Expansion

TW.O, an AI-powered clean energy deployment platform for commercial and industrial businesses, has raised $10 million in a funding round led by Transition Venture Capital (TVC), as it prepares to expand into battery energy storage and deepen its work in solar, energy efficiency and wastewater treatment.

Existing investor Omnivore and angel investors Chiranjeev Singh Saluja and Sudhir M Reddy also participated in the round, according to the company. TW.O said the capital would support its expansion across energy- and water-intensive sectors including data centres, automotive, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and healthcare.

The company works with original equipment manufacturers and engineering, procurement and construction firms across India. Its clients include Premier Energies, Godrej, JK Tyre, Morepen Pharma, Wipro and Phoenix Mills. TW.O provides financing and asset solutions intended to help commercial and industrial customers adopt clean energy and utility infrastructure without bearing the full upfront capital cost.

The platform’s planned entry into battery energy storage comes as businesses seek more reliable ways to manage electricity demand and operational continuity. TW.O also plans to expand its solar, energy efficiency and wastewater treatment offerings. The company said its solutions can help customers lower operating costs, access markets such as the European Union and improve operational resilience.

“India’s tremendous growth in C&I segments will continue to increase demand for energy and water, placing greater pressure on businesses to manage and optimise energy costs and resources,” said Karan Bhutani, chief executive officer and co-founder of TW.O. He added that the West Asia crisis had underscored the importance of energy independence and resilience.

TW.O was founded in 2024 by Archit Mehrotra, Bhutani, Manya Ranjan and Shashidhar Reddy. The founders’ combined experience spans firms including KKR, McKinsey, Shell, BP, Honeywell, ReNew, Sterlite Power and GIC. The company said it uses a proprietary artificial intelligence and machine learning platform for solution design, underwriting and asset monitoring.

According to TW.O, its assets under management have grown 1.5 times in each of the past three quarters. The company said its technology supports predictive maintenance, risk mitigation and performance optimisation while keeping operating costs low. It has not disclosed the absolute value of assets under management in the information available.

Yashodhara Bakliwal, vice-president of investment at TVC, said the platform addressed the capital barrier faced by commercial and industrial customers. She also pointed to the complexity of integrating multiple stakeholders across a fragmented clean energy ecosystem. “By taking end-to-end ownership of execution, TW.O enables customers to focus on their core business rather than managing the build,” she said.

Abhilash Sethi, partner at Omnivore, said demand for clean energy and utility assets was expanding as India increased its clean energy capacity and businesses sought more reliable energy and water systems. He cited India’s crossing of 50 per cent of installed electricity capacity from non-fossil sources in June 2025, five years ahead of its 2030 target, while saying deployment in the commercial and industrial segment still lagged.

TW.O said it aims to address an annual opportunity estimated at $100 billion to $150 billion through capital solutions for clean energy and utility assets. The company’s next expansion will focus on battery storage alongside its existing solar, energy efficiency and wastewater treatment businesses.
