Holiday Inn Raipur Signs 156-Key Hotel Deal for Naya Raipur

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Entry Point Hotels & Resorts Private Limited to develop a 156-key Holiday Inn Raipur in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with the property scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2031.

The agreement brings one of IHG’s recognised hotel brands into Naya Raipur, which the company described as a developing administrative and commercial centre. The planned property will operate under the Holiday Inn brand and is expected to serve the city’s varied travel requirements, according to a statement issued by IHG.

“As the city continues to develop as a key administrative and commercial centre, the signing presents an opportunity to introduce one of our most recognised brands to a market with diverse travel needs,” Sudeep Jain, managing director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said in the statement.

Jain said the Holiday Inn Raipur project reflected IHG’s focus on taking its brands to destinations where it saw long-term potential. The company did not disclose the investment value, project location details beyond Naya Raipur, or the construction timeline for the hotel.

The planned development will form part of IHG’s expansion in India, where the company currently operates 53 hotels across seven brands. It also has a pipeline of 110 hotels scheduled to open over the next three to five years, the company said.

The 2031 opening timeline places the Naya Raipur project within that broader pipeline. The announcement, however, does not specify how many of the planned 110 hotels are under construction, at an advanced development stage, or located in comparable emerging administrative and commercial centres.

For Naya Raipur, the agreement signals the planned addition of branded hotel capacity as the city continues to develop its administrative and commercial role. The project’s eventual contribution to accommodation supply, business travel and visitor services will depend on construction and delivery according to the announced schedule.

The hotel is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2031. IHG and Entry Point Hotels & Resorts did not announce further project milestones in the statement.
