Hyderabad Telangana Accelerates Farm Support Through Rythu Bharosa
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has released another tranche of financial assistance under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, transferring ₹2,482 crore directly to nearly 42 lakh farmers as part of a wider agricultural support programme. The move comes ahead of the ongoing cultivation season and is intended to strengthen farm liquidity while encouraging informed crop planning amid evolving weather conditions.
State authorities said the latest disbursement forms part of a broader plan to transfer around ₹9,000 crore to eligible farmers over a nine-day period through direct benefit transfers. The assistance is expected to help cultivators meet seasonal expenses such as seeds, fertilisers, labour and other agricultural inputs without relying heavily on informal credit.
