Young India Skills University Campus Gets November 20 Deadline

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has set November 20 as the deadline for completing the Young India Skills University campus at Bharat Future City, which will host the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026 from December 7 to 9.

The campus is being prepared to receive more than 2,000 international delegates, including chief executives of global companies. Construction of nine seminar halls and 13 meeting halls is nearing completion, according to the reported review of the project.

Reddy inspected the campus on October 19 and directed officials to use the university building as the venue for the summit. The decision places the permanent campus at the centre of Telangana’s preparations for the investment event, while also linking construction delivery to the university’s future academic use.

The state government used temporary structures at Bharat Future City for last year’s Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. This year, it has chosen to complete and use permanent facilities within the Young India Skills University campus instead. The seminar and meeting halls will be retained by the university for academic activities after the summit, avoiding expenditure on temporary infrastructure.

The venue decision also creates a compressed construction schedule. The November 20 deadline falls just over two weeks before the summit begins, leaving the government and implementing agencies limited time for completion, inspection and event preparations. The source report did not specify the total project cost, the construction agency or the extent of work remaining beyond noting that the halls were nearing completion.

Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju separately reviewed publicity and logistical arrangements for the summit. After taking stock of invitations to industrialists, investors and prominent delegates from India and abroad, he directed officials to increase publicity through hoardings at key locations and junctions in Hyderabad and through campaigns across Telangana.

Jaju also called for public participation through a 10K Run, sporting events and other outreach programmes to build awareness of the summit. He directed departments to coordinate efforts to present Telangana’s investment opportunities, investor-friendly ecosystem and infrastructure strengths to national and international audiences.

Special Chief Secretary Navin Mittal, IT joint secretary Anudeep Durishetty, industries secretary Krishna Aditya, Invest Telangana CEO B. Ajith Reddy and other senior officials attended the review meeting. The immediate milestone for the campus is completion by November 20, ahead of the summit’s scheduled opening on December 7.
