The fourth Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show will open at India Expo Mart and Centre in Greater Noida on Friday, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah scheduled to inaugurate the four-day event at 11 am in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The trade show at Knowledge Park is intended to present products from Uttar Pradesh industries to domestic and international buyers. State MSME Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary and MSME department principal secretary Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil outlined the event arrangements at a press conference, according to Navbharat Times.
The venue has been divided into nine zones and 20 sectors for security management. Authorities will use 550 CCTV cameras and drones for surveillance. A team from the Union Home Ministry inspected the security arrangements on Thursday, and a helicopter landing was also conducted in preparation for the inauguration.
Seven deputy commissioners of police, 14 additional deputy commissioners of police, 38 assistant commissioners of police, 80 inspectors, 300 sub-inspectors, 40 women sub-inspectors and 1,500 constables have been assigned to the security operation. An additional 150 women constables will be deployed for women’s safety. Seven companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary and one company of the Rapid Action Force will also be stationed at the venue.
Traffic management will involve three assistant commissioners of police, 10 traffic inspectors, 20 traffic sub-inspectors and 450 traffic constables. The deployment is intended to manage movement around the India Expo Mart during the opening and the remaining days of the event.
Public entry will be free from 3 pm to 8 pm, while the 11 am to 3 pm period will be reserved for business visitors and buyers. The organisers said products from all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh would be displayed under the “Local for Global” theme, giving the state’s small and medium enterprises a common platform in Greater Noida.
The event will also include six partner countries: Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Russia, Austria and Belarus. Organisers said 600 international buyers and representatives from 88 countries are expected to participate. This is an increase in the international country participation described for the previous edition, which had one country partner.
The opening-day cultural programme will include conch performance and traditional ceremonial recitation by Rashmi Arya of Baghpat. Performers from Lucknow, Mathura and Mumbai are also scheduled to present folk music, folk dance, Kathak and devotional music during the programme.
The trade show’s next immediate milestone is the inauguration at 11 am on Friday, followed by business access until 3 pm and free public entry between 3 pm and 8 pm during the four-day event.
