Tripura’s Nischintapur Station to Boost India-Bangladesh Trade

The forthcoming inauguration of the Nischintapur Railway Station in Tripura, near Agartala, marks a pivotal development in enhancing cross-border travel and commerce between India and Bangladesh.

Railway division officials are working diligently to ensure a seamless operational transition upon the station’s official opening. Anil Kumar Khandelwal, Member Infrastructure of the Railway Board and ex officio Secretary to the Government of India, recently conducted an exhaustive inspection of the newly constructed Nischintapur Railway Station. Accompanied by senior officials from the railway division, Khandelwal meticulously reviewed every aspect of the station, from passenger amenities to security and logistical operations, ensuring that the facilities meet the highest standards of modern infrastructure. “The Nischintapur railway station is a testament to our commitment to enhancing connectivity with our neighbouring countries. This project will not only improve travel and trade but also strengthen the cultural and social ties between India and Bangladesh,” remarked Khandelwal during his visit.
