Samruddhi Mahamarg Mumbai Metro 3 Delayed by Security Alert

Maharashtra, including the highly anticipated Samruddhi Mahamarg and Mumbai Metro Line 3, have been postponed following heightened security concerns across the nation.

This delay follows a nationwide security alert in the wake of a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which has prompted authorities to take precautionary measures for large public events. The metro project, which is expected to ease congestion in South and Central Mumbai, had been slated for a grand launch this week. Once operational, the metro line will significantly reduce travel times, alleviate pressure on the city’s overcrowded trains, and contribute to cleaner, more sustainable public transport. However, with the security alert in place, these significant advancements in urban mobility will have to wait.
