Pune: Public transport capacity across Pune division is set to expand with the phased induction of new state-run buses, a move expected to improve regional connectivity, reduce crowding and strengthen access to affordable mobility for thousands of daily commuters. Transport officials confirmed that the Pune division has begun receiving a fresh batch of diesel buses, with the first vehicles expected to enter service after completing mandatory registration and operational clearances.
