Thousands of electricity consumers across several Chennai neighbourhoods will experience scheduled power interruptions on August 4 as the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation (TNPDCL) undertakes routine maintenance of substations and distribution infrastructure. While temporary, the shutdown underscores the continuous maintenance required to ensure the reliability of urban power networks.
Residents and businesses across multiple parts of Chennai will face planned power outages on Monday, August 4, as the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) carries out scheduled maintenance on electricity distribution infrastructure.
According to the utility, electricity supply will remain suspended in identified localities during the maintenance window, with power expected to be restored after the completion of works if weather and operational conditions permit.
