One Karnataka Mobility App Brings Four Bus Services Together

A new One Karnataka Mobility app bringing together ticketing, complaints and selected digital services for Karnataka’s four state-run road transport corporations was launched in Bengaluru on September 11, 2026. The platform covers the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar launched the One Karnataka Mobility app, the upgraded KSRTC Avatar 2.0 app and WhatsApp ticketing at a programme held at Vidhana Soudha. The event was organised to mark 100 days of the new government, according to a report by Prajavani.

The app is intended to provide passengers with a single digital platform for services connected to all four transport corporations. Its features include secure login, passenger identity verification, access to previous booking details and management of transactions, the report said.

Passengers will also be able to register complaints related to the four transport corporations through the same platform. The system will allow users to check the status of complaints and track progress towards their resolution, according to the information released at the launch.

The new WhatsApp ticketing service currently allows passengers to book tickets for KSRTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC buses. Users can begin the booking process by sending a message to 6364940880 on WhatsApp. Payments can be made through Unified Payments Interface, credit cards, debit cards and wallets.

After a successful payment, the booking confirmation and electronic ticket will be sent to the passenger through WhatsApp and email, KSRTC officials said. Tickets booked through WhatsApp can also be cancelled through the same service. Passengers must select the ticket-cancellation option and enter their PNR number, mobile number and password to complete the process.

The launch does not currently list BMTC among the transport corporations covered by WhatsApp ticket booking, although BMTC is included in the broader One Karnataka Mobility platform. The app is therefore designed to bring the state’s four transport corporations into one digital interface, while ticketing availability varies by service at the time of launch.

The transport department plans to add a digital monthly-pass system in a future phase. The proposed facility would allow passengers to book, receive and manage bus passes online. The platform is also expected to support QR-code-based digital verification, according to the launch information.

The unified platform places ticketing, complaint registration and passenger-service records within a common digital interface. The next stages identified by the authorities are the introduction of online monthly-pass services and QR-code verification.
