Noida airport flights to Bengaluru and Kolkata will begin from October 1, as Akasa Air expands its network from Noida International Airport ahead of the festive and winter travel seasons. Bookings for the new services have opened, according to a report by Navbharat Times – Noida.
Akasa Air will operate a direct service between Noida and Kolkata, with the flight scheduled to depart Noida International Airport at 10.30 am and arrive at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at 12.50 pm. The return flight will leave Kolkata at 1.30 pm and reach Noida at 3.50 pm.
The airline will also add a direct Bengaluru service. The flight from Bengaluru is scheduled to depart at 7 am and land at Noida International Airport at 9.45 am. The return service will leave Noida at 4.30 pm and reach Bengaluru at 7.20 pm.
The new services will expand the airport’s direct connections to two major urban and economic centres in eastern and southern India. Bengaluru is a major technology and employment hub, while Kolkata is an important commercial, cultural and transport centre in eastern India. The new routes give passengers in Noida, Greater Noida and surrounding parts of the Delhi-National Capital Region an additional airport option for travel to these cities.
IndiGo is already operating flights between Noida International Airport and Bengaluru, according to the report. Akasa Air’s entry on the Bengaluru route will add another airline option for passengers, although the supplied report does not provide details of flight frequency, fares or the total number of daily services.
Akasa Air will also offer connecting-flight access to Ahmedabad and Pune through its network. These connections could allow passengers travelling from the Noida airport to reach the two cities through an intermediate point, although specific connection timings were not provided in the report.
The route expansion comes with a change to Akasa Air’s services to Mumbai. From October 1, the airline will discontinue its Mumbai-bound flight scheduled to depart Noida at 2.05 pm. The report does not specify whether another Mumbai service will continue at a different time or whether the change is temporary or permanent.
The additions are significant for the developing airport because route availability, airline choice and schedule convenience will determine how effectively it serves the wider NCR. The new flights also place greater emphasis on the airport’s ability to connect passengers with established domestic aviation hubs rather than serving only as an additional departure point.
