The Navi Mumbai International Airport has entered a new phase of operations with the launch of its first scheduled international passenger service, establishing a direct air connection with Abu Dhabi. The development marks a significant expansion of aviation infrastructure in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), offering travellers an additional international gateway while supporting long-term regional mobility and economic growth. The inaugural overseas service is being operated by an Indian carrier with three weekly flights linking Navi Mumbai and the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The Navi Mumbai International Airport has steadily expanded its domestic footprint since commencing passenger operations, building connections to dozens of destinations across India and handling a growing volume of aircraft movements.
