Nagole Missing Boys: Police Trace CCTV Trail Towards Ghatkesar

Nagole Police are searching for two brothers, aged eight and six, who went missing from their home in Hyderabad on Saturday morning, with CCTV footage indicating that the children travelled from Nagole towards Uppal and may have later moved in the direction of Ghatkesar.

The missing boys have been identified as Varun Tej, 8, and Mahesh, 6. They live with their parents, Mogili Ravi and Sirisha, at Sai Ram Nagar, Road No. 3, in Nagole, and study at a government school in the area.

According to the report, the boys refused to go to school on Saturday morning and were scolded by their mother. She reportedly seated them in an auto-rickshaw to send them to school before returning inside the house to collect their school bags. When she came back, the children were no longer there.

The family searched the surrounding neighbourhood before informing Nagole Police. Officers began checking CCTV footage from Sai Nagar and nearby locations to establish the boys’ movements after they left the house.

The footage reportedly shows the two children buying chocolates at a grocery shop. They were then seen travelling towards Uppal and crossing the road near Uppal Ring Road. Preliminary information from the footage suggests that they may have continued from Uppal towards Ghatkesar.

Four special police teams have been formed to search for the boys. The teams are being led by L.B. Nagar ACP Raveender Reddy of the Malkajgiri Commissionerate and are examining additional CCTV footage while conducting checks in different areas.

The case highlights the importance of rapid coordination between local police units, families and CCTV networks when children go missing in a large and rapidly expanding urban area. The available footage is being used to reconstruct the children’s route across Nagole, Uppal and the road towards Ghatkesar.

Police teams are continuing their search and CCTV analysis across the identified locations. Further details are expected as investigators verify the boys’ movements and examine footage from areas along the suspected route.
