Mumbai’s burgeoning metro network has achieved another significant milestone as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) commenced trial runs on Phase 1 of Mumbai Metro Line 9.
This development marks a historic moment for the Thane district, heralding its first-ever metro line and signifying a substantial step towards enhanced regional connectivity and sustainable urban mobility. The inaugural trial run on the 4.4-kilometre stretch from Dahisar (East) to Kashigaon, encompassing four key stations, was recently energised, paving the way for operational readiness.
