The expansion of city gas distribution networks across residential and commercial zones is expected to reduce dependence on traditional fuel delivery systems while supporting cleaner and more efficient urban energy access.

The latest phase of infrastructure development is being viewed as a critical step in modernising Kolkata’s utility ecosystem at a time when dense cities are under pressure to balance growth with environmental responsibility.
