Karnataka has launched the One Karnataka Mobility app, bringing ticketing and passenger services for the state’s four road transport corporations onto a single digital platform. The service was inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at an event held at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on September 11, 2026, marking 100 days of the new government.
The platform brings together the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (KKRTC) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). The updated application has been introduced alongside KSRTC Avatar 2.0 and a WhatsApp-based ticketing service.
Passengers will be able to use a secure login system to authenticate their identity, view earlier bookings and manage transactions. The app will also allow passengers to submit complaints relating to all four transport corporations through a single interface. Users will be able to check the status of complaints and track the progress of their resolution, according to the information released by the transport authorities.
The platform is also expected to support a digital monthly-pass system in a later phase. The proposed service will allow passengers to book, receive and manage bus passes online. The authorities have also said that QR-code-based digital verification will be introduced as part of the platform’s future capabilities.
WhatsApp ticketing is currently available for KSRTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC bus services. Passengers can begin the booking process by sending a message to 6364940880 on WhatsApp. The service supports payments through the Unified Payments Interface, credit cards, debit cards and digital wallets.
After a successful payment, the booking confirmation and electronic ticket will be sent to the passenger through WhatsApp and email, KSRTC officials said. Tickets booked through WhatsApp can also be cancelled through the same channel. To cancel a ticket, passengers must select the cancellation option and enter the PNR number, mobile number and password.
The launch expands the use of a common digital interface across Karnataka’s publicly operated bus services, although the WhatsApp ticketing facility announced for the current rollout covers three corporations. The transport authorities have not provided, in the information released, a separate implementation timeline for the digital monthly-pass and QR verification features.
The One Karnataka Mobility app and the WhatsApp booking facility are intended to consolidate ticketing, complaint registration and passenger transaction management for the state’s road transport system. Further details on the rollout of the remaining planned features are expected from the transport authorities.
