Seven IAS officers have been transferred to new posts by the Karnataka government, with the changes including new managing directors for Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited and Mangalore Electricity Supply Company, as well as a new commissioner for the Kalaburagi City Corporation, Prajavani reported on Tuesday evening.
The transfers affect departments and public bodies responsible for electricity distribution, medical procurement, e-governance, district administration and municipal services. The appointments were reported as part of the state government’s continuing transfer exercise for senior administrative officers.
Dr K. Nandini Devi, who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed managing director of the Karnataka State Medical Supplies Corporation. K. Srinivas, who had been holding additional charge of the post, has been relieved of that responsibility, according to the report.
N. Chandrashekhar, who was serving as joint secretary in the Karnataka State Infrastructure Development, Inland Transport and Ports Department, has been transferred as managing director of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation. M.S. Archana, who was serving as the utility’s managing director, has not been assigned a new posting in the reported list.
Dr Girish Dilip Badole, who was also awaiting a posting, has been appointed director of the e-Governance Department. Dr Arundhati Chandrashekhar, who was holding additional charge of the position, has been relieved from that responsibility.
The changes also include appointments in district administration and urban local governance. Garima Panwar, who was managing director of the Karnataka State Handloom Development Corporation in Hubballi, has been appointed chief executive officer of the Vijayanagara Zilla Panchayat.
Noongzai Mohammed Ali Akram Shah, who was serving as chief executive officer of the Vijayanagara Zilla Panchayat, has been appointed managing director of Mangalore Electricity Supply Company. The appointment places a new officer at the head of the electricity distribution company serving Mangaluru and surrounding areas.
Shinde Avinash Sanjeevan, who was commissioner of the Kalaburagi City Corporation, has been transferred as additional development commissioner of the Bengaluru West City Corporation. P. Sravan Kumar, sub-divisional officer of Kumta in Uttara Kannada district, has been appointed commissioner of the Kalaburagi City Corporation.
The Kalaburagi appointment changes the officer responsible for the city corporation’s administration and municipal operations. The reported list does not provide details on the tenure of the new appointees or identify specific projects linked to the transfers.
The government’s latest move follows a series of recent postings and transfers involving IAS officers in Karnataka. The appointments take effect through the state government’s transfer orders, as reported by Prajavani.
