The Hyderabad Traffic Police has launched a new website that allows residents to check e-challan status, submit complaints about congestion and parking, locate designated parking zones and access emergency contact numbers from a single online platform.
The website, available at echallan.tspolice.gov.in/htp/index.html, was launched on October 13 by Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, along with Joel Davis, Joint Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad Traffic, and other officials. The platform is intended to provide residents with direct access to traffic-related services and police contacts.
Under the ‘Citizen Complaint’ option, users can report traffic congestion, parking issues, road-safety concerns and other problems. They can also submit suggestions through an online feedback form. The form requires users to provide the location and a description of the complaint. The email address displayed by the form is marked as ‘not shared’, while providing a name and mobile number is optional.
The website also provides a ‘Know your PS’ option through which users can identify the Traffic Police Station concerned according to their location. Contact details of the relevant police officers are displayed on the respective pages, giving residents a route to reach the station or officer responsible for their area.
A separate section lists parking zones within Greater Hyderabad limits and provides online location links for the listed spots. The parking information is organised according to Traffic Police Station limits covering Khairatabad, Secunderabad, Jubilee Hills, Golconda, Rajendranagar, Charminar, Chandrayangutta and Shamshabad. Users can view the names of parking locations and use the linked map information to navigate to them.
The homepage also displays the traffic helpline number 9010203626. It includes emergency contacts for police services through 112, the women’s helpline at 181, the child helpline at 1098, ambulance services at 108, fire and rescue services at 101, and cybercrime complaints at 1930, among other numbers.
The launch brings several commonly used traffic and public-safety services together on one platform, although the website’s complaint form requires residents to provide a precise location and description for submissions. The Hyderabad Traffic Police has not announced through the information available in the report a separate timeline for resolving complaints submitted through the portal. Residents can access the website to check e-challans, identify nearby traffic police contacts, view listed parking zones and find emergency numbers.
