Hyderabad traffic diversions and restrictions will be in force from 3 pm on October 21 to 6 am on October 24 for the Durga Matha idol immersion programme, affecting movement around several locations in the city.
According to the traffic advisory, restrictions will be imposed around People’s Plaza, Garden Point, Jalavihar Baby Ponds and Sanjeevaiah Park. The traffic measures may be adjusted depending on local traffic conditions during the immersion period.
Commuters travelling through these areas have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and avoid the affected junctions wherever possible. Traffic police have also asked road users to follow instructions issued at the site to support traffic movement during the programme.
The advisory covers a continuous period of 63 hours, beginning on the afternoon of October 21 and extending until the early morning of October 24. The timing includes evening and overnight travel, when restrictions may be applied according to local conditions and the movement associated with the immersion programme.
People’s Plaza, Garden Point, Jalavihar Baby Ponds and Sanjeevaiah Park are therefore expected to be the key points for commuters to monitor during the advisory period. Residents using routes near these locations have been asked to allow additional travel time and check traffic police directions before starting their journeys.
Authorities have not provided alternative route details in the advisory information available. Traffic movement around the listed locations will be managed based on conditions on the ground, with commuters instructed to comply with directions from traffic personnel through the end of the immersion period on October 24.
