Hyderabad’s civic authorities have intensified monsoon-related maintenance, repairing 105 potholes and removing 173.2 tonnes of waste as the city faces heightened road and sanitation challenges during the rainy season. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) carried out the repairs and waste-clearing activity as part of its monsoon preparedness and response measures. Potholes can become more difficult to identify and repair during heavy rainfall, while accumulated waste can obstruct drains and increase the risk of localised waterlogging.
