Hyderabad commuters can now use a single common pass for travel on TGSRTC buses and Hyderabad Metro trains, with daily and monthly options available from Friday. The initiative combines the two public transport modes under one fare structure, allowing passengers to plan bus and Metro journeys through a common pass.
The daily common pass costs Rs.400, comprising Rs.300 for Metro travel and Rs.100 for TGSRTC services. A monthly common pass is priced at Rs.8,500, with Rs.7,000 allocated to Metro travel and Rs.1,500 to RTC travel.
The pass is intended for commuters who use both bus and Metro services as part of their regular journeys. By combining the two components, the system provides a single-ticket option for passengers who need to transfer between the city’s bus network and its Metro corridors.
Passengers can obtain the common passes at major bus terminals and Hyderabad Metro stations. Digital ticketing options will also be available through the respective official platforms, according to the report.
The arrangement brings TGSRTC and Hyderabad Metro services under a common ticketing option, although the fare structure continues to identify separate Metro and RTC components. The daily and monthly prices announced for the pass are Rs.400 and Rs.8,500 respectively.
