With an earmarked budget of Rs 72.52 crore, the HLWBMC has embarked on an ambitious mission to protect and revitalise 40 lakes across the region. This substantial financial investment underscores the gravity of the task at hand and underscores the city’s unwavering dedication to preserving its natural resources.
In tandem with this monumental undertaking, the town planning department has initiated a series of strategic measures to enhance public trust and foster community goodwill. Central to this effort is the expeditious processing of building permission applications through the TS-bPASS system, ensuring a swift turnaround time of 21 days. Additionally, authorities have committed to addressing all outstanding grievances, both online and offline, within a mere week, demonstrating a proactive approach to citizen engagement and satisfaction. Recognising the imperative to mitigate potential hazards, circle-level officers have been tasked with identifying dilapidated structures and implementing preventative measures to avert any impending damage. Furthermore, plans are underway to undertake a comprehensive assessment of 10 key intersections, with a view to devising targeted improvement strategies that address prevailing challenges and optimise traffic flow.
