Hyderabad Ganesh Festival Traffic Plan Gets Khairatabad Review

Hyderabad’s traffic police reviewed arrangements at Khairatabad as the 10-day Ganesh festival began on Monday, with personnel deployed at key points to regulate vehicles and reduce inconvenience to the public.

DCP Traffic-I Avinash Kumar inspected traffic arrangements at Khairatabad in connection with the “Ganesh Special Puja – 2026” organised by the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsava Committee. The inspection focused on the preparedness measures in place as festival activity began in the area.

According to the report, the DCP reviewed the traffic management arrangements and directed personnel to ensure smooth vehicular movement. Traffic staff were positioned at important points to manage vehicle flows and minimise disruption for road users.

Khairatabad is among the locations where increased public activity during the festival requires traffic personnel to manage movement around event-related areas. The police review formed part of wider traffic preparedness at various locations across Hyderabad on the opening day of the festival.

The arrangements are intended to address traffic movement while the Ganesh festival continues for 10 days. The report did not specify diversions, road closures, deployment numbers or timings for the traffic measures at Khairatabad.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police’s next operational step is to continue regulating traffic at key points and monitor vehicular movement during the festival period. Further details on any additional restrictions or route changes were not stated in the report.
