HYDERABAD: A major financing package for a large-scale Hyderabad data centre project is expected to accelerate the city’s emergence as a strategic digital infrastructure hub, reflecting rising demand for artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and enterprise data services. The investment also highlights the increasing role of long-term infrastructure financing in supporting India’s expanding digital economy.

CtrlS Datacenters has secured debt funding worth ₹5,500 crore from two public sector banks to support the development of its AI-ready data centre campus in Hyderabad. According to the company, the project is already under construction and forms part of a broader expansion strategy aimed at creating one of the country’s largest digital infrastructure ecosystems. The Hyderabad data centre project is planned with an eventual capacity of 3.5 GW, designed to accommodate high-performance computing workloads required by hyperscale cloud providers, AI platforms and enterprise customers.
