Senior officials overseeing city infrastructure recently conducted field assessments across major drainage channels, road intersections and low-lying stretches identified as vulnerable during heavy rain events. Areas along key mobility corridors and densely developed urban pockets remain under close monitoring as authorities attempt to improve stormwater movement before seasonal rainfall intensifies. The Gurugram stormwater drainage system has long struggled under the pressure of rapid urbanisation, shrinking natural water channels and expanding concretisation.
