Greater Noida: More than 100 residents of a housing society in Greater Noida West have reportedly fallen ill after concerns emerged over the quality of drinking water supplied within the complex. Residents of Nirala Green Ark Society, which houses around 1,640 families across multiple towers, have reported cases of vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, and fever over the past few weeks. The Apartment Owners Association (AOA) reportedly collected water samples after repeated complaints and sent them for laboratory examination. The test findings shared by residents indicated the presence of coliform bacteria and E. coli, microorganisms commonly linked with contaminated water and gastrointestinal illnesses. While further official verification is awaited, the findings have intensified concerns among families regarding the safety of daily water consumption.
