Ganesh Immersion Karimnagar Gets Three Safe Points, Crane Support

Authorities in Karimnagar have prepared three designated immersion points, deployed cranes, professional swimmers and Disaster Response Force boats, and installed lighting, barricades and CCTV cameras for the Ganesh Shobha Yatra and idol immersion on Wednesday.

The Karimnagar Municipal Corporation has identified Manakondur and Kothapalli tanks and the SRSP canal at Chinthakunta for idols installed in Karimnagar town and surrounding villages. Municipal teams have levelled the ground at the locations and arranged barricades, drinking water and lighting for the operation.

Big and small cranes have been positioned at each immersion point to lower the idols into the water. Professional swimmers and DRF boats have also been deployed as part of the safety arrangements. Special sanitation staff will clean the procession route and immersion points during the event.

The Shobha Yatra will begin from Ganesh pandal No. 1 at Tower Circle in Karimnagar town. Other Ganesh idols are expected to join the procession later, according to the arrangements reported by officials.

The Karimnagar commissionerate police has deployed personnel at various locations for security and installed CCTV cameras at all immersion points. The surveillance and deployment are intended to support crowd management and monitor the designated sites during the procession and immersion.

Collector Chitra Mishra, Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam and Municipal Commissioner Praful Desai visited the Chinthakunta and Kothapalli immersion points to review the arrangements. The preparations bring municipal sanitation, water access, site infrastructure, emergency response and police security into a single operating plan for the event.
