Gajularamaram Road Widening Plan Targets Cyberabad Congestion

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation has proposed widening the road between Gajularamaram and Mahadevapuram junction to ease traffic congestion, alongside a new cement concrete road, drainage improvements and encroachment removal in the surrounding area.

CMC Commissioner G Srijana and engineering officials inspected the proposed route on Thursday. The civic body also proposed constructing a cement concrete road from Mahadevapuram junction to Sikh Basthi in Allwyn Colony.

The inspection focused on identifying the work required to improve movement along the corridor. Srijana asked officials to coordinate with the respective departments and address bottlenecks promptly, according to Telangana Today.

The engineering wing was directed to complete the proposed cement concrete road at the earliest. The town planning wing was asked to identify and clear encroachments along the stretch, while officials were instructed to expedite drainage work.

The plan also involves shifting electrical poles before road-widening work begins. The civic instructions indicate that the project will require coordination between engineering, town planning and utility-related departments, with encroachments, drainage and electrical infrastructure identified as immediate implementation issues.

The report did not specify the proposed road width, project cost, land requirements or a completion schedule. It also did not state whether the proposal has received administrative or financial approval. Officials have been directed to begin the required coordination and move the road-widening and associated works forward without further delay.
