The Delhi traffic advisory issued for the Bloomberg New Economy Forum gala dinner will affect movement around Hotel Leela Palace on Tuesday, 13 October, with commuters advised to allow extra travel time between 5 pm and 10 pm.
Delhi Traffic Police said foreign and Indian delegates would attend the dinner at the hotel, leading to expected traffic disruption in the surrounding area during the five-hour period. The advisory asks commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed in the area.
The police have recommended Aurobindo Marg for travellers approaching from the AIIMS side. Commuters coming from Moti Bagh Crossing on Ring Road have been advised to use Shanti Path as an alternative route.
The advisory does not announce a complete closure of the identified roads. It warns that traffic movement is expected to remain affected around the venue, which could result in slower journeys and changes in on-ground traffic management while the event is under way.
Delhi Traffic Police has asked commuters to follow its official social media handles for real-time route updates. The department has also provided helpline numbers 1095 and 011-25844444 for traffic-related assistance.
The affected period is scheduled to end at 10 pm on 13 October, after which commuters should refer to further updates from Delhi Traffic Police for any changes to traffic arrangements.
