Hyderabad-based Deesawala Rubber Industries is poised for significant growth with the establishment of two additional manufacturing units, bringing the total number of its facilities in the region to five.
The company, known for its diverse range of rubber products, has expanded its operational footprint beyond its three existing units in Balanagar. The fourth facility, located in Kallakal, Medchal, spans 40,000 square feet and has commenced commercial production. Additionally, an adjacent 40,000-square-foot unit has been acquired, which will serve as the fifth facility or an extension of the fourth, as confirmed by Executive Director Murtaza Deesawala.
Deesawala Rubber Industries’ product portfolio includes elastomeric bearing pads for road and bridge projects, rubber speed breakers for real estate, pipe gaskets for ductile iron, UPVC, and concrete pipe manufacturers, rubber extrusion profiles for automotive, aviation, and industrial applications, expansion joints for infrastructure projects, rail pads for railway tracks, and silicone products for the pharmaceutical industry.
The company has earmarked an investment of ₹40 crore for this expansion initiative. Once fully operational, the new facilities will significantly enhance production capacity, increasing it from the current 7 tonnes per day to an anticipated 25 tonnes per day. This expansion is strategically aligned with the Government of India’s infrastructure development programmes, including the Har Ghar Nal Mission, which necessitates the extensive deployment of water pipelines across the country.
Co-founder and Managing Director Huned Deesawala highlighted that the robust emphasis on infrastructure development presents substantial growth opportunities for the company. The new units are expected to be fully operational by next year, positioning Deesawala Rubber Industries to capitalise on burgeoning demand in both domestic and international markets. This strategic expansion underscores Deesawala’s commitment to innovation and capacity building, reinforcing its standing as a key player in the rubber manufacturing sector. “Our gaskets that are used as pipe seals are crucial for successful execution of the project,” he said.
