Hyderabad-based Bondada Group has entered the electric mobility market through its subsidiary Atpole Technologies in partnership with Thuraga Motors, announcing a ₹59,999 electric two-wheeler that is scheduled for commercial launch in November across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
The partnership was announced at a preview of the T1 electric two-wheeler and the launch of a website. Bondada Group said the collaboration would explore electric mobility opportunities, with an initial focus on businesses, fleet operators and institutional buyers with business-to-business mobility requirements, alongside individual customers.
Group CEO Rear Admiral (Retd) R. Sreenivas said the companies aimed to make electric mobility more accessible through indigenous solutions designed and manufactured for India. He said the initiative would contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The T1 is being positioned for practical, work-oriented use. Atpole Technologies director Jagadish Kumar Meesala said the company’s focus was on dependable mobility for farmers, workers and delivery partners. He said the objective was to bring an indigenously developed and manufactured electric two-wheeler to market based on real-world requirements and sustainable mobility needs.
Thuraga Motors founder and chief technology officer Abhiram Thuraga said the T1 reflected the company’s focus on homegrown engineering and accessible electric mobility. The companies did not disclose further technical specifications such as battery capacity, range, charging time or production volumes in the announcement.
The proposed customer base places the vehicle within the part of the electric mobility market that includes commercial users and high-frequency riders. Fleet operators and delivery businesses typically require vehicles that can be used intensively, making price, dependability, maintenance support and charging access important to deployment. The partnership’s stated focus on these users indicates that the vehicle is being developed not only as a personal commuter product but also for institutional and livelihood-linked mobility.
The launch also marks a diversification for Bondada Group, which has traditionally operated in engineering, procurement and construction, operations and maintenance, manufacturing and technology-led solutions across infrastructure and other emerging sectors. The group’s entry gives the electric mobility venture an institutional partner with an existing presence in infrastructure-related businesses, although the companies have not announced manufacturing capacity, investment details or dealership arrangements.
The initial launch geography covers three southern States with major urban centres and significant two-wheeler use. The announcement, however, does not specify the cities where sales will begin, the number of vehicles planned for the first phase or whether charging and servicing partnerships have been finalised.
Bondada Group chairman and managing director Bondada Raghavendra Rao, cricketer Ambati Rayudu and Hala Mobility founder Srikanth Reddy Kalakonda were among those who participated in the event. The companies are expected to provide further details as the planned November commercial launch approaches.
