Bengaluru recorded its highest reported rainfall of 138.5 mm at Doddagubbi in the past 24 hours, while several locations in Kolar, Mysuru and neighbouring districts also received heavy showers, according to rainfall data released by the Karnataka State Disaster Management Centre.
The highest reading in Kolar was recorded at Chinnakote in Bangarpet taluk, which received 110.5 mm. Doddavolaghamadi recorded 102 mm, while Mahadevapura’s Horamavu area in Bengaluru recorded 99 mm. Malaluru in Chikkamagaluru taluk received 89 mm.
Other significant readings included 85 mm at Magondi in Bangarpet taluk, 82.5 mm at Jakkur in Yelahanka, 77.75 mm in Yelahanka and 69.5 mm at Yalesandra in Bangarpet taluk. Chowdeshwari near Yelahanka recorded 67 mm, while Krishnarajapura received 66.5 mm.
Several locations in Bengaluru and its outskirts also recorded more than 50 mm of rain. Avalahalli received 62 mm, Doddaralageri in Hoskote taluk recorded 62.5 mm, Hunasemaranahalli recorded 57.5 mm and Sarjapur in Anekal taluk received 53.5 mm. Mandur recorded 52.5 mm, while Kumbalahalli in Hoskote taluk received 52 mm.
Rainfall was also reported across Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Dharwad and other parts of Karnataka. Bailuru in Kollegala taluk received 64.25 mm, Beedanahalli in T. Narasipura taluk recorded 61 mm, and locations in H.D. Kote, Arakalagudu, Hassan and Dharwad recorded rainfall above 50 mm.
