Several parts of Bengaluru are facing scheduled power interruptions as maintenance and infrastructure works affect electricity supply. The planned outages underline the pressure on the city’s distribution network as demand grows and utility infrastructure requires regular upgrades to maintain reliability.
The interruptions are linked to maintenance activities being undertaken across parts of the city. Such work can involve repairs, equipment upgrades, line maintenance and other interventions that require temporary shutdowns to allow crews to work safely.For households and businesses, even planned outages can disrupt daily routines. Small businesses, shops, offices and home-based workers can face productivity losses when electricity-dependent equipment stops operating.
