Senior officials from the Bengaluru East City Corporation recently conducted field assessments at several locations historically vulnerable to waterlogging and overflow during heavy rainfall. The inspections focused on the progress of stormwater drain projects, railway underpass works, lake-connected drainage channels and critical water-flow corridors that play a key role in preventing inundation during peak monsoon periods.The review highlights a broader challenge confronting Bengaluru’s expanding eastern corridor.
