Bengaluru Electric Mobility Gets New Retail Touchpoint
Bengaluru’s electric two-wheeler market is gaining another retail touchpoint with E3 Electric.AI opening its first flagship experience centre in Koramangala. The 2,500-square-foot facility combines vehicle sales, servicing and spare-parts support, while the company plans further outlets across the city. The expansion comes as electric scooters increasingly become part of Bengaluru’s wider shift towards lower-emission urban mobility.
The new outlet is intended to address one of the practical barriers to electric vehicle adoption: access to support after purchase. For urban commuters, the availability of nearby servicing and spare parts can influence whether an electric scooter is viewed as a dependable everyday transport option rather than simply an alternative vehicle. E3 Electric.AI currently offers three models — the C1, C1x and C2 — within its Trion range. The entry-level C1 uses a removable 2.3kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, while the C1x and C2 use fixed 3kWh LFP batteries. The scooters also use 14-inch wheels, a relatively large size for India’s electric scooter segment. The company plans to add six more outlets in Bengaluru in the coming months and expand into Mysuru as part of its Karnataka rollout. Nationally, it has outlined plans for around 100 stores across 90 markets during the current financial year. For Bengaluru, the significance extends beyond the number of showrooms.
The city has a large population of daily two-wheeler commuters, making electrification of short and medium urban trips potentially important for reducing tailpipe emissions and dependence on petrol. However, the environmental value of that transition depends on more than vehicle sales. A stronger EV ecosystem also requires convenient charging, reliable repair networks, battery management and responsible end-of-life handling. As electric mobility expands, service infrastructure will need to grow alongside vehicle registrations rather than follow several years behind them. The growth of retail networks also has implications for urban land use. Experience centres and service facilities need to be located where residents can access them without adding unnecessary travel, while charging infrastructure should increasingly be integrated into existing residential, commercial and transport networks. E3 Electric.AI’s Bengaluru expansion comes as the company moves towards broader commercial deployment.
Its Trion range is listed with prices beginning around ₹1 lakh, while the company has also received regulatory approval for the Trion and opened bookings in August. The next test will be whether expanding physical access translates into sustained adoption. For Bengaluru’s transition to cleaner mobility, dependable after-sales support, accessible infrastructure and convenient everyday use will be as important as the vehicles themselves.
