The results will determine the political leadership of civic bodies responsible for local urban administration, including municipal services and city-level governance. Supporters of winning candidates celebrated by distributing sweets and bursting crackers, while rainfall affected celebrations in several parts of the state. The SEC’s final consolidated results were awaited.
