Ahmedabad’s Night Garden Start-up Hub and Power Infrastructure Enhancements

In the latest developments shaping Ahmedabad’s landscape, a slew of transformative projects promises to elevate the city’s appeal and functionality.

From the introduction of a captivating Night Garden at Sabarmati Riverfront’s Flower Park to the inauguration of Gujarat’s largest start-up hub at the Knowledge Consortium, and strategic initiatives to address burgeoning electricity demands in suburban areas, Ahmedabad is poised for remarkable growth and innovation. The Night Garden initiative at Sabarmati Riverfront is set to enchant visitors with its illuminated structures, drawing inspiration from the famed glow garden at Kevadia Colony.

With an estimated budget of Rs 3.5 crore, this project underscores the city’s commitment to sustainable practices by utilising energy-efficient LED lights to illuminate various installations depicting nature and wildlife. Simultaneously, Gujarat’s burgeoning start-up ecosystem receives a significant boost with the inauguration of the state’s largest innovation hub at the Knowledge Consortium. This flagship project, constructed at a cost of Rs 98 crore, is poised to become the epicentre of entrepreneurial activity, offering extensive amenities and support to budding start-ups, thereby solidifying Ahmedabad’s reputation as a burgeoning Silicon Valley. Addressing the pressing need for enhanced power infrastructure in Ahmedabad’s growing suburban areas, the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation and Uttar Gujarat Vij Company have devised comprehensive plans to fortify transmission infrastructures. By acquiring six plots from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, these initiatives aim to mitigate power outages and meet the escalating electricity demands of commercial centres in areas like Bopal, Jhundal, Koteshwar, Shela, Tragad, and Gota. These developments underscore Ahmedabad’s proactive approach towards urban revitalisation and economic growth, positioning the city as a beacon of progress and innovation in the region.
