Simultaneously, Gujarat’s burgeoning start-up ecosystem receives a significant boost with the inauguration of the state’s largest innovation hub at the Knowledge Consortium. This flagship project, constructed at a cost of Rs 98 crore, is poised to become the epicentre of entrepreneurial activity, offering extensive amenities and support to budding start-ups, thereby solidifying Ahmedabad’s reputation as a burgeoning Silicon Valley. Addressing the pressing need for enhanced power infrastructure in Ahmedabad’s growing suburban areas, the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation and Uttar Gujarat Vij Company have devised comprehensive plans to fortify transmission infrastructures. By acquiring six plots from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, these initiatives aim to mitigate power outages and meet the escalating electricity demands of commercial centres in areas like Bopal, Jhundal, Koteshwar, Shela, Tragad, and Gota.
