AB InBev India has invested around ₹200 crore in a new brewery at Neemrana in Rajasthan, expanding the company’s manufacturing footprint in North India and strengthening supply links to several regional markets.
The facility, operated through Rochees Breweries Limited (RBL), commenced operations in July 2026, the company said in a release reported by Business Standard. It is expected to serve consumers across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and other key markets.
The investment adds to AB InBev India’s existing manufacturing presence in the country as the company seeks to expand local production, improve operational efficiency and build supply-chain capabilities. The company described the Neemrana brewery as being designed for scalable operations and manufacturing standards, but did not disclose its production capacity or the number of jobs created.
The facility’s location in Neemrana places it within one of Rajasthan’s established industrial areas and gives the company access to markets across northern and central India. AB InBev said the brewery would strengthen its ability to serve these markets, although it did not provide details on distribution volumes, logistics arrangements or the specific brands that will be produced there.
The investment was presented in the context of broader economic ties between India and Belgium. AB InBev India said discussions involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Belgium’s Prime Minister Bart De Wever highlighted the strengthening economic partnership between the two countries and the company’s position as a Belgian-rooted business operating in India.
Kartikeya Sharma, president of AB InBev India, said the Rajasthan investment reflected the company’s confidence in India’s future and its commitment to local manufacturing capabilities, job creation and economic development. “India continues to be one of the most exciting growth markets in the world, and we remain deeply committed to being part of its growth story,” Sharma said in the company’s release.
AB InBev said it has invested more than $1.5 billion in India since 2016. The company said that investment has supported the expansion of local manufacturing, supply chains and operational capabilities, without providing a current state-wise or facility-wise breakdown.
The Neemrana brewery is now part of the company’s manufacturing network serving multiple states. Further details on the plant’s capacity, workforce and future expansion plans were not included in the announcement.
