TVS Supply Chain Solutions has clinched a significant business contract from VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) to oversee the in-plant warehousing and logistics operations at their Eicher bus manufacturing facility situated in Baggad, Madhya Pradesh.
This collaboration marks an extension of their longstanding partnership, with VECV previously engaging TVS SCS for in-plant logistics services at their Truck plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh since 2006. The newly secured deal for VECV’s bus plant spans a duration of three years, underlining the confidence and trust bestowed upon TVS SCS in managing critical logistics functions within the manufacturing ecosystem. The scope of in-plant logistics services to be rendered by TVS SCS for the Baggad bus plant encompasses seamless inward operations to ensure timely receipt of parts, efficient storage, and picking of parts based on directives from the Production Planning Control (PPC) team, and systematic delivery of parts to designated assembly lines as per the Bill of Material (BOM). This meticulous orchestration aims to facilitate a continuous flow of materials, thereby optimising production line efficiency and ensuring adherence to production schedules.
