Delhi New Industrial Policy Aims for Land Use Optimization and Infrastructure Upgrade
KSH INFRA, a prominent developer in sustainable industrial and logistics infrastructure, has announced a substantial ₹550 crore investment for its second industrial and logistics park in Tamil Nadu. Located within the high-growth Sriperumbudur-Oragadam corridor, this new 60-acre facility with 1.6 million square feet of development potential is set to bolster the region’s industrial prowess, creating over 1,500 job opportunities and reinforcing the state’s commitment to eco-friendly and equitable urban development.
The strategic location of the upcoming park is a key advantage, boasting approximately 600 metres of direct frontage on a major district road, which ensures robust multimodal access. Its proximity to the nearly completed Chennai–Bangalore Expressway (NE7) will provide rapid connectivity to critical industrial hubs, major ports, and consumption centres. This enhanced logistical efficiency is crucial for reducing transportation-related carbon emissions, contributing to a lower environmental footprint for industries operating within the park, aligning with the vision for zero net carbon cities.
The Sriperumbudur-Oragadam corridor is already a well-established industrial cluster, home to numerous global manufacturing giants across diverse sectors, including automotive, electronics, and engineering. The region’s appeal is further amplified by ongoing infrastructure projects such as the Peripheral Ring Road, the upcoming Greenfield Airport at Parandur, the Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Mappedu, and the Aerospace Park in Sriperumbudur. These collective developments firmly position the area as a pivotal node within the broader Chennai–Bangalore Industrial Corridor (CBIC).
Construction of the new park is slated to commence by March–April 2026. Beyond its economic contributions, the project is designed to cater to the evolving needs of both global and domestic manufacturers, offering state-of-the-art facilities that can integrate sustainable practices. The creation of over 1,500 job opportunities is a significant social benefit, promoting equitable growth and providing livelihoods for a diverse workforce, thereby fostering a more inclusive and gender-neutral urban environment.
This latest investment follows KSH INFRA’s earlier commitment of ₹450 crore in a Grade A industrial and logistics park in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which spans 50 acres with 1.25 million square feet of development potential. With the addition of the Sriperumbudur project, the company’s total investment in Tamil Nadu now exceeds ₹1,000 crore. This sustained commitment underscores the growing demand for modern, high-quality industrial and logistics infrastructure across India’s key growth corridors.
The company’s vision extends to developing over 10 million square feet of high-quality, sustainable infrastructure nationwide in the next two to three years. This ambitious trajectory, reinforced by supportive government policies and a favourable regulatory environment, is set to further strengthen Tamil Nadu’s position as a leading industrial powerhouse. Such investments are vital for building a resilient economy that integrates environmental stewardship and social equity, paving the way for truly sustainable urban and industrial development.
