IndiGo has announced the launch of its 77th destination from Mumbai with the introduction of exclusive daily direct flights to Adampur, Punjab, starting July 2, 2025.
This new route marks a significant expansion in IndiGo’s domestic network, positioning Adampur as the airline’s 92nd domestic and 133rd overall destination. The Mumbai-Adampur flights are designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travellers, offering a seamless travel option that connects Maharashtra’s bustling financial hub with Punjab’s growing industrial and agricultural regions. The daily flight schedule aims to provide enhanced convenience and bolster economic ties between western and northern India.
Flight 6E 5931 will depart from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 12:55 PM, arriving in Adampur at 3:15 PM. The return flight 6E 5932 is scheduled to leave Adampur at 3:50 PM, landing back in Mumbai at 6:30 PM. IndiGo will be the sole airline operating this route, underscoring its commitment to expanding regional connectivity. Adampur, strategically located on the Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur corridor, hosts the historic Adampur Air Force Station, one of India’s oldest airbases. The region blends a rich Punjabi cultural heritage with increasing urbanisation, making it an attractive destination for travellers. Key attractions such as Rangla Punjab Haveli, Devi Talab Mandir, and Pushpa Gujral Science City add cultural and recreational appeal, while the growing industrial base benefits from improved access to Mumbai’s ports and markets.
This route is expected to catalyse trade, tourism, and business opportunities by providing Punjab’s agricultural and industrial sectors with direct air links to Mumbai’s key commercial centres. The enhanced connectivity will also help local businesses expand into broader national and international markets, fostering employment and economic growth. IndiGo’s decision to launch this route reflects its broader strategic vision to deepen regional air connectivity across India while offering efficient, affordable, and reliable travel options. This initiative is poised to support sustainable economic integration between regions and contribute to more equitable access to air travel.
As IndiGo continues to expand its domestic footprint, this Mumbai-Adampur route exemplifies the airline’s commitment to meeting the evolving travel demands of India’s diverse population, while supporting regional development and cultural exchange.
